Another love story....

Here is the story of how one of my bride's met her soon-to-be hubby!

Meet Diane and Robert...


My dad was the youth pastor at Crestview Baptist church in Prattville, Alabama in 2000. I was at church one Wednesday night for youth services when I met a boy named Robert. He came as a visitor with one of my brother's friends. At the time, I was 13 and he was 16. I always thought he was cute and had a little crush on him, but I was 13 years old...where could it go?


About a year later, I started dating one of Robert's friends. Even though I was dating someone else, Robert and I became friends. Robert was there for me when I broke up with the boy I was dating. About 3 months after that Robert and I started hanging out with some mutual friends. In 2003, we started working at the same place and soon after, Robert and I started dating exclusively. We have been dating ever since...


In May 2009, Robert and I went on a vacation to Dallas/Fort Worth Texas and then to San Antonio, Texas. Our first night in San Antonio, we went to dinner and down to the river walk. Robert led me to little garden with a bench that was locate that was by the river. We sat there for a few minutes and then the next thing I know Robert is on one knee with a ring in his hand asking me to marry him. I had always dreamed of that day and thought I would cry or scream, but that's not at all how I responded. The first thing out of my mouth was "Are you Serious?","Is this a joke?". I was in such shock it took me a minute to process everything. Once I did, I of course said yes.


Robert and I have been friends for 10 years, dating for seven years, and now we are getting married on May 15, 2010. He is definitely my soul mate and my better half!
