I love what I do. I mean, I REALLY love what I do. People tell me all the time that it's obvious I love my job and they are right!
I was always told to pick a career that you love. Don't pick a career for the money or prestige, but because you want to spend your life doing it. I guess I never really understood until now.
I wake up everyday excited about my meetings, excited about the ideas that sometimes pop into my head in the middle of the night, excited about meeting my brides as they start the journey into marriage. I get to spend my days with people who are madly in love and are planning the first day of their marriage. I get to plan parties for a living! It is so fun!
I realize everyday that I am blessed to have a job that I love so much. I love that being an event planner allows me to be a therapist, a mother, a caretaker, an encourager, a detailist and most of all, it allows me to be me.
