Something old, something new.....

Looking for something to make your wedding unique? Love looking through your grandmothers old jewelry? Enjoy things from the past?

Maybe a vintage wedding is for you!

Vintage is coming back...again!

Drew Barrymore recently walked the red carpet in a birdcage veil that first became popular in the 1940's. When I see birdcage veils, I think glamorous movie stars, red carpets and WEDDINGS!

There are a variety of resources to find vintage items for your weddings. There are still legit vintage dresses out there, or you can find "new" vintage. Check with your local wedding boutiques to see if they offer a "vintage" line.

Another resource can be right in front of you. Ask your family if anyone saved their wedding dresses or their grandmothers wedding dresses. You never know what treasure your family may have stored in their attic.

Worried that it will look too dated? Don't! Many brides are having their wedding dresses reworked. A good seamstress can take your vision of your dress and combine it with the old fashioned yumminess of your vintage dress and create something that all but defines you!

Add a birdcage veil, some vintage earrings and ruby red lipstick...and you will be channeling Audrey Hepburn on your wedding day.

Think big ladies! If you can dream it, you can have it!
